We have finally come to the conclusion that we are moving back to Utah. It is definitely bittersweet and if you know us well, we have been contemplating this for a long long time! Matt has an amazing opportunity to still work for Dell but remote, so wherever we wanted, I hoped for Australia but Matt wasn’t for that . For some reason a lot of people can’t get a grasp on the whole remote concept. He will still have his same job and everything…he just gets to sit in a home office all day now! Most of his work is done through the phone so it really won’t make a huge difference. It will however be a slight adjustment for us all. He sometimes works from our tiny apartment and I can say it’s not ideal. I will enjoy him being close but in his own confined space. I will have to resist interfering with him while he is at home working, except for his daily lunch deliveries, which I’m sure he won’t mind. We are excited to find a house, finally, and be back around our wonderful family and friends.

We are however, sure going to miss our great friends here in Round Rock!! We have gotten so close to so many couples that it breaks my heart to move away. We seriously are going to miss so much about it. Living in Texas has been a great experience and we will never forget our short lived time here. We still have a few weeks left to soak in the hot sun and humid air, which we will ever so miss, especially where there is 2 feet of snow! We will sure miss so much from Texas but we will be back for occasional visits, promise!

We are excited for our next chapter in life. We are so grateful for everything we have and this amazing opportunity to be close to our family again. We love our friends in Utah and Texas and know we will always be close no matter where we end up!

She has finally doubled her birth weight and is at 14.9 lbs and 25 inches tall. Matt and I were shocked, we thought she weighed so much more. Walking up three flights of stairs with 2 extra pounds should be nothing but we always seem to complain, maybe we are the ones packing on the extra weight…haha!

Addy is seriously the joy of our lives. She is the HAPPIEST baby ever! Her smile and big blue eyes just melts our heart. We think she is the absolute cutest baby ever. She still gets mistaken for a boy if I don’t have her in pink or have a big flower on her head…how dare these people, right?!

She loves her mom, what can I say. I can’t leave the room or walk 5 feet without her looking for me or whining. I do have to admit I love the attention but I know the time will come when she loves her dad more.

She is still as busy as ever. She is sitting up on her own and sick of all her toys that force her to lay on her back. We just got her a new activity center and she loves it. She loves to grab everything in sight, she especially likes to pull on my hair…it wasn’t bad at first but now she is getting stronger and pulls so hard.

She has been eating rice cereal but now gets to try newer, brighter and yummier foods. We can’t wait to see how she reacts to the new things.

There aren’t any signs of teeth yet but she loves to put everything in her mouth. Her favorite toy has to be Sophie the giraffe; which she chews on constantly. One little squeak from Sophie makes her beam. It’s so cute!

She is still sleeping through the night. She sleeps on average of 10 hours per night. She isn’t the best at taking naps however, but we are working on it. She has some good days where she takes 2 hour naps then days where she takes a few 20 minute naps. 

She LOVES to go outside, I can’t blame her, being cooped up in this tiny apartment all day is hard. The moment we step outside she is all smiles. She laughs when we go down the stairs. She enjoys walks and could probably walk  ride all day if she could.

We truly can’t get enough of her sweet personality. We love her so much and can’t believe she is growing up so fast. So much has changed in these last few months; we can’t wait for her to continue growing and learning more and more!

For some reason turning 26 feels so OLD! I don’t know if it’s because it’s closer to 30 or further from my early 20′s but either way I don’t like the feeling. Despite the fact, I still had a great birthday. Matt spoiled me like always! We started the day off by unwrapping my gift…a new pair of earrings! Matt truly knows how to pick out jewelry for me. Next we hit up Torchey’s Tacos for lunch followed by a delicious sweetberry cupcake from Hey Cupcake. We then traveled down to San Marcos to my favorite outlet mall ever and did some well needed shopping. It was a successful trip. I got a few new tops, a skirt, a belt and a few other things It was a perfect day. It was so hot for a February day, 90 to be exact. After our shopping spree we headed back to Austin to Hopdoddy for dinner. Now, I am not usually a fan of hamburgers but this place was YUMMY! I got a goat cheese and pesto burger, with fries and I can’t forget the amazing strawberry shake. It was a great fun filled day.

The next weekend our dear friends watched Addy so we could go to a fancy dinner. We went to our favorite steak restaurant, Ruth’s Chris. We feel so fancy when going there. Before heading home, we ran to Nordstrom Rack and I got a new pair of shoes…gotta love my shoe fetish!

It was a great birthday and it will be a great year to come even if I do feel like an oldie!

On Sunday the rain turned to shine we went on a hike in Austin and saw what they think is a waterfall. Monday Demi, Addy and I hit up the outlets while Danny and Matt golfed. Later that Day we made it downtown and walked down Congress.

It was such a great weekend with the Demi and Danny! We love our visitors and can’t wait to see them again!

She is now less than a week away from being 3 months old?! I can’t believe it, how time has flown by! She is seriously such a good baby. She recently started sleeping through the night; falling asleep between 9:00 and 10:00 and waking up between 6:00 and 8:00. I surely enjoy the sleep but do tend to sleep even more with her morning naps! She goes everywhere with us and is always such a trooper, my mom calls her our little accessory. I never knew of an accessory that weighed 12 lbs!

Addy is a very happy baby! She started smiling just before we left to Utah and now it’s none stop! My favorite is when I get her out of bed in the morning; she just kicks away and has the biggest smiles…it makes waking up that much easier! Her smiles definitely make you melt. She smiles at just about everything you do!

She pretty much loves every activity including; her bouncer, swing (as long as the mirror is covered), bath time (as of lately), flying with daddy, singing with mommy and watching TV (already…I turn it off the moment she starts turning her head 90 degrees to see it). Her least favorite is tummy time…she gets SOOOO mad when I put her on her stomach. She kicks and starts to cry or she doesn’t do her tricks and just licks her blanket instead. It only lasts about a minute or so…but we try!

She is such a fun baby and we have loved every minute of it! We just love her so much and she is such a great addition to our little family. We can’t wait for her to grow and learn more things! We just can’t get enough of her, she is such a joy!
